Research unit Eiszeitfenster Oberrheingraben (Upper Rhine Rift Ice Age Window)

Generous funding from the Klaus Tschira Stiftung made it possible for work on the research project “Eiszeitfenster Oberrheingraben” (Upper Rhine Rift Ice Age Window) to commence at the end of 2016. Scientists and scholars from the Reiss-Engelhorn-Museen, the Curt-Engelhorn-Zentrum Archäometrie, the Curt-Engelhorn-Zentrum für Kunst- und Kulturgeschichte and the University of Potsdam are conjointly studying ice age bone finds from the Reis collection, which came to the Reiss-Engelhorn-Museen through the Curt-Engelhorn-Stiftung.
